"Just the facts, ma'am." More often than not, politically correct bullshit won't be found here. Pardon me while I exercise my 1st amendment right! I welcome all to my little world of bitches, moans, gripes and complaints, and sometimes, the downright freakin' odd. Take a seat and join me. I love a good story.

A Sea of Blue

I hold my head down in sadness and prayer. We are losing brothers and sisters in blue at an alarming rate. Who will stand up for the weak?

The world as we knew it is no more.

There are factions far more deadlier than the average thug on the street. Not to minimize our thugs, because they are becoming exceedingly dangerous too. Home grown terrorists and violent groups are looting, pillaging, destroying and killing, all in the name of some perceived threat against one person.

In the minds of the violent and dangerous, the assassination of a group of people in the name of "justice" is a right. Putting aside the fact that 2 wrongs don't make a right, there is hatred and disgust for those who protect us every day.
The deafening voices of the many angry followers crying racism accusing our protectors of stereotyping. Yet, a certain group trained and dedicated in protecting the rights of all citizens are painted with the same brush. Isn't there a certain hypocrisy in that theory? Certainly there are bad people everywhere and in every group and they don't discriminate based on ethnicity, religion, sex, etc. We are not a perfect species and it's highly unlikely we ever will be.

Yep, the world is falling apart and there is plenty of blame to go around.

As a former law enforcement officer, I can say without a doubt that I have seen and experienced some of life's beautiful moments and some of life's wretchedness. I have been shot at (and missed), spat upon, assaulted, threatened and called by more vulgar names than you can imagine. Because I took an oath before I pinned on that badge, I endured it. No more.

Our world is changing rapidly. Throughout the decades law enforcement has gone from being the good guys to becoming the bad guys. Why? Who is to blame and how do we change it? Can it even be changed? With the continued threat to our country's security, we should all be thankful that there are people out there willing to risk their own lives in an effort to deter, apprehend and prosecute those that would threaten our way of life. But no, home grown terrorism, fueled by more hate and a twisted sense of justice that starts at the top, continues spreading its tentacles throughout our great country. Now our politicians want to literally handcuff police and take away the tools necessary to protect themselves and others. Are they serious? A softer image, you say? They're already afraid to do their jobs for fear of reprisals. They're being gunned down  in the streets and you want to take away all manner of defending themselves and others? In order to effectively perform their duties, they need all the right tools. They also need us, the citizenry, to watch their back by supporting them 100%.

There are those that would argue that America was never great. To you, I say, "How dare you?" Sure, she made mistakes along the way but she changed, recovered and moved on. Again, we are not a perfect species. However, if you do not like the democratic way of life that America provides you, I say, "Go away and find some place more suited to your needs."
Our way of life is threatened and terrorists, both here and abroad, despise us and all that we stand for.

These same politicians-you know, those folks who thought it would be really cool to stage a sit in in the house chamber-also want to make this all about gun control.

Terrorists are getting them. Oh, wait! Terrorists? In our country? No! The hell you say!
WAKE.THE. FUCK.UP! You left the door open, fools!

Those guys sitting on their asses want your guns. The guns we need to protect ourselves from the continued violence that the present administration seems to be egging on. There's a reason for the steady increase in gun sales. They will not get my guns. I will defend myself and I am thankful to live in a red state where the right to defend one's self and the right to bear arms is part of the state's Constitution.

I sit and ponder what our future holds. Will our warring factions allow for both the DNC and RNC to proceed with their party's particulars and nominations? Rumor has it that more chaos and rioting is planned in an effort to disrupt our political process. Do we need more anarchy, destruction and murder? How is it ok to do these things because you believe one particular candidate is a racist bully? The other candidate is a pathological liar and has blood on her hands. Is she any better? Ladies and Gentlemen, I have an announcement to make....
You know that jackass in the White House? He made us. A country is only as good as its leader and right now, our leader f'n sucks. He has done so much to screw up this country and has lied so much....the list is too long.

What's left for us to do? For one thing, let's settle down and stop the needless destruction and slaughter of innocents. Let us establish a dialogue that is not one sided and where one party doesn't shout down the other. Pointing fingers, blaming one side, and calling each other names solves nothing. Politicians need to step up to the plate and stop pandering and blaming before the facts are all in.
Can the members of BLM stop and think? The more militant you become, the more you become a threat. #Alllivesmatter  #Bluelivesmattertoo

In my lifetime I have been witness to many tragic events. Some so memorable and devastating that I often wish I could wipe those terrible events from my memory. The wanton assassination of law enforcement officers is nothing short of horrific.

Take the time to thank the men and women who serve and protect you.
Were it not for them and their sacrifices, our country would be in a far worse state.

To my Brothers and Sisters who wear the badge upon their chest -

May he watch over you

Hypocrite of the Century

Dublin, Ireland

I don't think there's any doubt in anyone's mind that Pres. Obama pissed off the Irish Catholics.
And some of those die hard Obama supporters say he was misinterpreted. HA!

Irish Parliament member Clare Daly goes on a take-no-breaths rant that addresses almost everything that the knowledgeable, eyes wide open, American people are concerned with in regards to the Obama administration.

She's right; Stupid ass liberals and the news media, have been pandering to the Obama aristocracy and it's quite evident that the Obama's fuckin' love it! They are pulling the purse strings of the American public and the feel-good-about-myself liberal folks think everything is just all wonderful with flowers and unicorns. In their consistent comparison of the Bush administration, they use creative brush strokes to skew the actual picture. Obama is not the Messiah. He is not the answer to our country's problems. In fact, he IS this country's problems and other countries are pointing their fingers, laughing at us. And what a frikkin joke we are! Remember, the American people elected him - TWICE!

PM Clare Daly minces no words when it comes to Obama and points out what some of us clear headed individuals already knew. Obama is a hypocrite and should be charged with war crimes.
While Obama's gun control back ground measures have failed, and as he continues to tug on the heart strings of America by trudging out the victims of the Newtown disaster, he is now supplying arms to the Syrian rebels. What has Syria done for us that we need to provide them with weapons? What have they done to other countries and other people? I'll give you a clue...it ain't good. These people hate us with such a passion that we would be lucky if they didn't turn on us with our own weapons. Does that story sound familiar?

IS OBAMA A WAR CRIMINAL?

Obama has done what all politicians do at some point in their political career and that is to LIE. He has misled the American people and he has lied to our allies, thumbing his nose at well established protocols and anchored relationships. It's a known fact that Obama is a political hack nobody, who was part of the corrupt Chicago machine, who came out of nowhere and became president. So now Obama uses his influence and, of course surrounds himself with more corrupt cronies. But ever so slowly, the truth is starting to reveal itself.
Naturally, now that he's a lame duck candidate, it's almost too late. We're stuck with him for 3 more years. And let's face it, Biden is no prince either. I'm not a prognosticator but I don't see another Nixon-Agnew situation occurring in the 21st century.

With the continuously growing list of scandals now hanging over his head, one can only hope that impeachment may be knocking at the door.

The Political Idiocy of Dianne Feinstein

I, like many others out there, are not real big fans of politicians. Most are just con artists, deal makers, and smooth talkers. It takes money, power and influence to get appointed and then elected to some of the most influential offices in the country.

A BRIEF BIOGRAPHY:

Ms. Feinstein has managed to work her way up the proverbial ladder of political success from such a humble beginning of fighting for equal housing rights and then being appointed to serve as a member of the California Women's Parole Board.

Feinstein went on to become a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and lost 2 elections for Mayor. Oddly enough, her succession to Mayor occurred only due to the assassinations of Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk. Feinstein herself heard the gunshots in city hall and went to investigate, finding Harvey Milk's lifeless body. He had been assassinated by a rival politician. Feinstein herself was a target of a failed assassination attempt.
Was this the beginning of her anti gun stance?
After the threats to her and her family, she obtained a concealed weapon permit and carried a revolver in her purse.

Feinstein has a certain talent for pissing people off.
In the highly populated gay community of San Francisco, she refused to march in the Gay Pride parade and vetoed the domestic partner legislation.
Well, after all, it was the 80's.

During the period when serial killer Richard Ramirez was terrorizing her city, she gave away certain details to the press, thereby hindering the investigation and pissing off the police.
In the 90's, she made this statement,

In the above quote, Feinstein states she "was trained in firearms." Yet, the picture below tells a different story.

Remember this photo op?

For those of you knowledgeable in firearms safety...it really looks like the 4 cardinal rules of firearms safety have all been ignored or long ago forgotten.

In the late 90's, Feinstein allegedly stopped carrying a handgun, had her own pistol melted down, along with many other guns in a citywide buy-back program, and then gave up her concealed carry permit.

Feinstein introduced the Federal Assault Weapons Ban which went in to effect in 1994 and expired in 2004.

Her latest attempt to ban what she defines as "assault weapons" has no expiration date. This particular piece of horse crap was vehemently opposed by the NRA.

Here we are again....

Feinstein fancies herself a champion of women's rights. Yet, her position is that women everywhere will be no less safer than if they carried or owned firearms.

An irrational and idiotic remark if ever there was one.
After insulting women everywhere......

She took on military veterans....
She claims that PTSD is a relatively new phenomenon and wants to make sure that incapacitated veterans don't get their hands on semi automatic weapons. Before naming it PTSD in the 80's, they called it 'shell shock' or 'battle fatigue.'

And the most idiotic statement ever....

The other very important part of this bill is to ban large capacity ammunition feeding devices, those that hold more than 10 rounds. We have federal regulations and state laws that prohibit hunting ducks with more than three rounds. And yet it’s legal to hunt humans with 15-round, 30-round, even 150-round magazines. Limiting magazine capacity is critical because it is when a criminal, a drug dealer, a deranged individual has to pause to change magazines and reload that the police or brave bystanders have the opportunity to take that individual down.”

How many things are wrong with that idiotic diatribe? Sen. Feinstein, let me point out, that if you're trying to take away my ability to own and carry a firearm, then how will I be a brave bystander that will have the opportunity to take down an armed assailant? You think that while everyone is scared shitless and looking for cover, that they're going to count the amount of rounds in the criminal's magazine?

Oh hell, the woman is a professional idiot. You can't reason with an idiot.

Making sense of it All

Every now and then, one of our political hacks actually spouts out something eloquent.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R) SC, made a compelling speech before the House Judiciary Committee meeting regarding gun control.

The question is....is anyone listening to those words?

Another 4 Years

Today is a federal holiday and ordinarily, I would be enjoying my day off and maybe even catching up on a little TV. Today is also Inauguration Day and I refuse to turn on the TV, knowing full well I'd be inundated with all the pomp associated with another 4 years of this moron named Obama.

I make no bones about the fact that I didn't vote for him. I don't know too many people who did, but then again I live in a red state. Many idiots voted for Obama strictly based on the color of his skin. I don't have any black friends that did. Then again, my black friends work for a living, have an education and are not dependent upon the government to get them through their every day lives. Like the rest of us, we do what we can to make ends meet and try to stay away from government assistance. It was once the great American way...to work for what you wanted. Now, many expect that their wants and needs will be taken care of by someone else because everyone owes it to them. That's sad. It's not who we ever were.

There are also many of us who are simply fed up with our government representatives. Who do they actually stand for besides themselves? I'm having my doubts about our election process. Obama winning a second term was rigged....I'm convinced of it. It doesn't matter. Unless he's impeached or resigns, we're stuck with him for another 4 years.

Obama doesn't care about your rights. He's consistently stepping on toes and wiping his feet on the Constitution. His views do not mimic what we as citizens of these great United States would like. His views do not stand for the republic nor do his outlandish laws serve any useful purpose but to cause so much divisiveness. Some believe that our ruler has a method to all this madness and it isn't in our best interest.

Obama doesn't want law enforcement to enforce immigration laws. To me, this is asking for trouble. How much crime do law enforcement officers deal with that are committed by illegal aliens? Depending on certain demographics, I'd say more than half. Now, knowing full well that his logic tends to lean too far to the left, he is punishing every citizen based on the actions of a number of mentally ill people who killed innocent people with firearms. He came up with some ideas. Ideas that have already been batted around a number of times. Maybe more police in schools will help deter crimes. By all means, if the government will subsidize or fund it, make it happen. It's unfortunate, but necessary. Will banning certain firearms, ammo and magazine capacities make a difference? Highly unlikely.
Perhaps the President would like to keep an eye on all the courts that make back room deals with Judges, prosecutors, and attorneys who allow repeat violent offenders plea deals. Most of these violent offenders have no moral compass and are released only to commit violent crimes again and again.

The one glaring common denominator in all these mass shootings is mental illness. How does the President propose to keep firearms away from the mentally ill without stigmatizing people or causing Doctors to put their careers on the line should they make the wrong diagnosis? What about that reasonable expectation of privacy? Labeling people as "unstable" without violating HIPPA laws is a slippery slope.

Obama's arrogance is immeasurable. Today, he once again swore to uphold and defend the Constitution. The Constitution clearly states that citizens have the right to keep and bear arms and that right shall not be infringed. This is angering many people and is causing chaos and panic in the gun industry far beyond what they saw in 2008 when Obama was first elected.

How does Obama expect law enforcement will receive these unlawful orders? Does he think that law enforcement in the U.S. will blindly follow the leader and take away the guns from their citizens? Many Sheriffs are taking a stance and are doing so by not only utilizing certain media outlets, but they're also doing it the old fashioned way...in a signed letter to the VP. Check out this site. My 3 favorite Sheriffs have made their voices clear. They will not enforce unconstitutional laws.

SHERIFFS TAKE A STAND

Is the NRA Up to the Job?

Yesterday was Obama's big day. He presented 23 proposals that, by executive order, are going to become the law of the land. Gun sales were already up after this tragic incident in Connecticut. Sales spiked again yesterday and today, with people now purchasing hordes of ammunition. High capacity magazines and AR type rifles are long gone, with some sellers asking double, and sometimes triple their original cost.

The action the Obaminator has taken has been shoved down the throats of citizens by way of the guilt factor. Yes, it's all in the best interest of the children. It's best to disarm everyone and that is supposed to make it all better - that it will help prevent more tragic shootings by mentally ill persons. IT WILL NOT. I'd like to say that people are outraged enough that something will be done to prevent this blatant attack on our Constitutional rights.

Interestingly enough, this chain of events has not only caused record gun and ammo sales, it has had a direct result on NRA membership. The NRA now boasts that membership has increased by 250,000 in just one month.

National Rifle Association member Sam Gallo takes aim as he looks at a display of handguns at an NRA annual convention in Kansas City, Mo.

I certainly hope that they are up to the task at hand. We must not surrender to the whims of the liberal idiots who find guns so offensive. The President's actions are reprehensible and he should not be allowed to force his socialist beliefs upon our free thinking society.  I'm tired of kissing ass in an effort to be more politically correct.

Pro gun politicians have already made it clear their intent to bar Obama's little foray down this road. While I say that I agree to some of their proposals, others are a joke and an insult to the intelligence of responsible gun owners. Some are just good in theory, but difficult to piece together and make work.

Meanwhile, law enforcement officers are now taking a stance. Linn County, OR, Sheriff Tom Mueller
wrote a letter to the Vice President essentially telling old Joe that he wasn't going to enforce something that was a direct violation of Constitutional rights, rights that he is sworn to uphold.
One of my favorite Sheriffs, J. Al Cannon, Esq., of Charleston County, SC also made a press statement  concerning his take on the matter.

I foresee a long hard fight ahead.

Are our Gun Rights in Jeopardy?

There's been a frenzied atmosphere in most gun shops as of late. The intensity of emotions resonating from gun owners and buyers ranges from fear of anarchy and chaos, to downright defiance of the government's potential ban on firearms. People are worried and scared. Many have predicted that riots will ensue when guns are taken and some whisper plans of making a stand. It's a situation of great concern for everyone.

Gun stores are running out of everything and just can't keep up with the supply and demand. Some are claiming price gouging during this sudden spate of gun and ammo purchasing. The statistics in the last 3 weeks alone would surprise and frighten those anti gun folks. Those in favor of gun rights, it doesn't surprise them at all. Obama is the greatest gun salesman the US has ever seen.

Some sick sons of bitches have wreaked havoc and death upon innocent children and adults. Terrorists do that. So do the mentally ill. It is indeed a sad set of circumstances and something does need to be done to prevent it from continuing. But what? How do we screen the mentally ill and keep them from legal firearms? How will banning assault rifles fix this problem?

To take away a person's Constitutional right to keep and bear arms seems an extreme course of action. Then again, His Royal Highness, the Obama idiot, wants to effectively strip away your rights and he will do it by Executive Order and to hell with everyone.

One industrious member of the left wing liberal news media in one of those radical blue states up north, takes it upon themselves to access all the gun owners database in one particular county, and then publishes the names of all those who have registered firearms. Now, what exactly was this jack ass trying to prove?
You really have to question the motivation behind this act of selfish stupidity. In actuality, those whose names were published were just law abiding citizens. They did what their little government asked them do and "registered" their firearms. Does the criminal element follow the letter of the law and tell the government about their guns? Oh, hell no.
Frankly, it only proved that the writer of that article, his editor, and the entire newspaper staff are a bunch of like minded half assed morons who just can't see the big picture.
So what is the bigger picture?

Who are we really controlling when we enact so-called "gun laws?" With so much violence in the world, that's just one more reason for me to keep my guns and ammo.

It seemed like more than half the nation had had enough of this hope and change bullshit and that this El Presidente jackass would be history. No such luck. I swear the election was rigged. That's my theory.
Interestingly enough, there's this sudden look at the 22nd Amendment, also known as the 2 term presidential limit. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Guns Save Lives

If you've never come across this website http://gunssavelives.net/ before, you should take a peek at some of the stories of self defense. It's always a worthy read.
This website is full of people who are tired of being a victim and they're fighting back. It's a proven fact that most gun owners are law abiding citizens who are least likely to commit a crime.

It's amazing how every state except Illinois has some kind of concealed carry law or laws governing gun ownership. With that fact, is it just coincidence that Illinois residents are killing each other in droves? Chicago used to be a city I've always wanted to visit and maybe even catch a Cubby game at Wrigley. Not now. Not ever. Only the thugs and scum on the street have guns and the average citizen has no recourse, no way to defend themselves. Hell, the way the laws are written there, if they even fight back in their own home, they're quite literally breaking the law. Why should you, the victim, have to retreat in your own home? Why should anyone be charged with a crime for defending themselves or their property? Doesn't seem right, does it?

The recent reelection of the Obaminator left me numb for days. How did this happen? Were the voting tallies correct? Were the minority sheeple so taken with Barry's persona that all that hope and change crap blinded them to the reality of our situation? Perhaps it will be one of those mysteries of the ages...just like his birth certificate. Ah, but that's a whole other story.....

Now the proverbial "wish list" of assault weapons those morons in DC want to ban, is out and the gun stores are having a field day.
Sales are up and Black Friday guns sales was at a record breaking high. Yes, I was in the middle of that chaos and our gun shop alone probably sold over 60 guns that day. It was so busy that the National Instant Background Check System (NICS) was practically gridlocked. The Blaze reported the story in all-too-accurate detail.

There's no doubt about it.....people in the red states are scared. Some may even be overly paranoid, believing that SUV's with tinted windows will surround their house in the middle of the night, using Gestapo like tactics to seize everyone's guns. I'd like to think we are a rational people and that it won't come to that.

And now, those geniuses out there in the land of liberal do-gooders think it's a bright idea to have a gun buyback program.

Wonder what that will accomplish?

A Sign of the Times

Being from a family of native northerners (yea, one of those blue states), and many of us having already migrated south, it was only natural that when my Mother retired from her state job, she would move south to Florida. You know, the Sunshine State. The place where my Brother likes to lovingly refer to as "the place where old people go to die."

Having lost my Dad a few years back, Mom's independence is evident. Everything is paid for and she gets her pension. She does what she wants when she wants. She wants for nothing and that is as it should be when you retire. I admire her tenacity because after 5 kids, an ailing husband, and some very tough times, she still has her attitude and swagger. While on in years, my Mother still walks with such determination and a look on her face that could knock you on your ass if you gazed too long. A look we all remember from back in the day when she would use your full name or talk between clenched teeth. Now, on those rare occasions when she does those things, we take a step back and cringe, as those childhood flashbacks run through our memory circuits.

We all worry about our Mother. Independence and strong will aside, she is elderly and a prime target for scum, maggots, thieves, rapists, whatever else you  want to call today's violent offenders. She does have a soft heart, but I'd like to think that she is smart and savvy enough that she will not be conned by some smooth talking, snake oil salesman. However, violence is something no one can predict or often times, adequately prepare for.

But I digress...

While I myself do not live in Florida, I live in a state that recognizes the Stand Your Ground Rule and the Castle Doctrine. In fact, ours was patterned off of Florida's since they were the first state to enact such legislation. In 1996, they started this wave of concealed carry reform.

We live in a world where violence is perpetrated wantonly and many of these thugs have no conscious, taking lives with impunity. Senior citizens are now empowering themselves, obtaining their permits or at least getting handguns for their homes or having them in their cars. I see them all the time at the gun store and gun range.
They ask for advice and information on the gun laws and what they should purchase. Many more are getting their permits to carry concealed.

A prime example of senior citizens fighting back is when that elderly man shot 3 armed robbers at an internet cafe in Florida. He went to town on their asses! He had a carry permit and he had a concealed handgun he whipped out during the commission of a felony. He fought back, defending the lives of many others in that cafe and thwarting a robbery. While he popped a cap in their ass on the way out the door, which he probably shouldn't have considering the threat was leaving, I can't see any jury in Florida convicting him. The jury would be full of gray haired compatriots who would all want to buy him a drink and pat him on the back.

While my Mother thinks all of her children are overly protective and paranoid, we have all seen the reality of life, more so me, and we all worry about her safety. While she doesn't have a permit and stubbornly refuses to do so, she has a revolver in her home and on rare occasions, has it in her car.  No, she doesn't have to jump through hoops or have permission from the state government to have it in either place, nor does she have any kind of 'registration' process for guns she may keep in her home for self defense. That is her Constitutional right.
I also provided Mom with a simple to use can of pepper spray that fits neatly in her purse or on her key ring. That too, is not illegal in Florida. Illegal as hell on an airplane, but not illegal in Florida.

Mom recently took her car in for service. At the dealership the sales person asked her if she had any weapons in the car. She smiled, and said, "No, not there." According to my Mother, she saw the salesman was carrying a gun under his suit coat. He told her that they have to ask now because they had 2 customers who had left their guns in their cars. One of the forgetful gun owners was a law enforcement officer. Another elderly gentlemen had a .45 in his center console and they had to call both to come retrieve their weapons before they did any work on their vehicles.

Hell-oooo folks! Whatever happened to responsible gun ownership? Don't we get enough flak from the liberal left who think banning guns is the solution to all the violence?

But you've got to ask yourself one question, and it's not, "Do you feel lucky, punk?" Although....
No, the question you should ask yourself is, "Do you want to be a victim or do you want to be a survivor?"
And I am by no means condoning vigilantism. I am, however suggesting that no one should have to stand by and cower in fear because thugs don't care! They take what they want by any means necessary. Get a gun and learn how to use it. It's unfortunate, but it's a sign of the times. We live in a violent world.

Guns DO Save Lives

Let's face it, unless you've been living under a rock, you can't help seeing news coverage of all the latest mass shootings. Things like Aurora, Co, the Sikh Temple in Wisconsin and now, the shooting involving NYPD, are prime examples. When these things happen, all the talking heads and liberal media begin asking such hard hitting questions, wondering how it could have happened and how to prevent it. Everybody's got an idea and most involve banning guns altogether. That debate never ends. And as long as there are half assed liberals who want the government to do their thinking for them, then there will always be morons who think that criminals will obey the gun laws.

Let's just take a look at some of the most crime infested cities in the US....they all have gun bans.
Chicago, IL
Baltimore, MD
Camden, NJ
are prime examples of high crime rates and a strict gun ban. There's a correlation but the anti-gun crowd doesn't see it.

Because the near sighted, politically correct news media doesn't point out the facts, and instead glosses over certain details, it tends to result in the anti gun zealots going through life with blinders on. Ask yourself why the majority of gun violence involves black males. Most of the guns obtained by the black males were acquired by them illegally. But you don't hear about that in the news media. It would be racist to do it otherwise.
In fact, when you hear about gun owners and concealed carry permit holders using their firearms in self defense, defense of a third person, or protection of their property, it's usually from some obscure or local source. You don't see CNN or Fox News covering that story. When the average law abiding gun owner does the general public a favor, you certainly don't hear about that in the national news.

There is a website out there called, Guns Save Lives  and it does an excellent job of ferreting out and reporting on stories of people who have used their firearms to protect themselves. Paste it to your favorites and read the latest stories. The criminal element needs to be on their toes because the pissed off  public refuses to be a victim!

Guns or People?

The left wing liberals are on their soapbox these last few days. The shooting in Colorado has the anti gun lobby so excited this election year and once again, we listen to their tired old arguments. How can people actually believe that this shooting never would have happened if people weren't allowed to buy guns? They say, "guns kill people." No matter how many times you remind them that those triggers don't pull themselves, the gun haters still think that if guns were outlawed, the murder rate and shootings would drop. Apparently they forgot about the outlaws, thugs, gangsta wanna-bees and other criminal elements. Do they obey the laws? I wonder why the retarded Democrats think this may work?
Is it working in Illinois? That's the only state that doesn't have a concealed carry law and look at their astronomical murder rate from guns. Coincidence? The citizens can't fight back, can they? Instead, they must cower and endure the fate handed out by the very same democratic assholes who voted for the Obaminator.

Whenever something like this happens, the anti gun assholes climb out from under their rocks and then gun sales skyrocket. Trust me. I work in a gun store. It was a madhouse this weekend.

If guns kill people, then the thousands of guns in my store would have conspired together to wipe out earthlings and take over the world. They haven't. In fact, parents bring their kids along while they shop for guns and accessories and use our indoor firing range. The world is often a cruel, nasty place and parents find it necessary to teach their children how to respect the firearm.
If guns kill people then should we release all the criminals in the jails who have committed murder by using a gun? After all, they didn't do it. The gun did it.

A friend passed these words on to me today,

The gun has no conscience, it merely carries out the will of the one who uses it. Just like cars don't intend to make you drive drunk, the car is innocent and you're not. The pencil didn't intend to make you misspell words, you're the idiot in control of the pencil; be thankful that it gave you an eraser so you can try to fix your grammatical fuck ups, but that would require intelligence, something that is sorely missed in this day and age.

The United States has an out of control drug problem. Can we ban all the drugs when they are often necessary to aid in the healing of the sick? Can we ban alcohol because people drink and drive? I don't know about you, but we repealed prohibition 80 plus years ago and I would like to continue enjoying my one and only vice during my twilight years.

My friends at the ATF would agree that there are just some things you don't screw around with.

Living in a red state, we like our guns and our 2nd Amendment. The Supreme Court held up our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms, but if the left wing, libtards have their way, we could be literally fighting for those rights in the next 4 years.

This video is of a gunstore owner who had been interviewed by their local news media. Mr. Pendergast states, "The only reason that there's a 1st Amendment is because there's a 2nd Amendment. Without the 2nd Amendment, the 1st Amendment would go away." Do we really want that?

http://www.abcnews4.com/story/19081387/colorado-tragedy-stirs-gun-debate-in-lowcountry

There is also an inaccurate comment at the end of the video. (The news media? Inaccurate reporting? That would never happen.)
The reporter states that you must have a concealed weapons permit to carry a gun. That is not entirely true. Yes, you must have a CWP to carry the firearm concealed upon your person. However, you don't need a permit to purchase or possess a handgun or rifle or to have one in your home, car, or place of business.
State laws vary, but in our pro 2nd Amendment state, we are required to conduct instant background checks through NICS (National Instant Background Check System) when a person purchases a gun from us. They do not give out information, they only tell you whether to proceed with a sale, delay it or deny it.
It must have been a busy little place over the weekend. They experienced a higher than normal call volume and many of us were put on hold for extended periods of time. That almost never happens.

So who is ultimately responsible for this senseless shooting? The fuckin' idiot who pulled the trigger!

When the Zombies Attack....

...will you be prepared?

Working in a gun shop has many advantages. Not only do you get some serious employee discounts, but you get to play with all kinds of guns. I continue to learn new things every day and that includes interacting with a wide spectrum of the human race. Not that there's any shortage of that in my business, but when people don't know who you really are and you're not wearing some intimidating uniform, they tend to open up a bit. There are people who come in there in awe of a real gun shop and indoor range, most especially when they hail from those northern blue states and other parts of the world.

Gun purchases in my state have more than doubled since this time last year and better than half the gun purchasers are women. People are signing up in droves for the CWP classes and applications for concealed weapon permits have far surpassed last year's numbers. The state government body who processes CWP applications sent an email memo to all instructors to please assist in expediting the permitting process by double checking all paperwork for potential errors. It was time consuming to send them back for corrections and they were over-burdened as it was.

Why are so many people buying guns, you ask?
It's simple....they are in fear.  People fear different things. Some seem to have a fear of impending doom based on the present political climate, and maybe they're justified in that one. Some fear that the present Zimmerman-Martin case will effect the 'stand your ground' law and that there will be anarchy and chaos in the streets.  Women are becoming empowered, refusing to be victims. The incidents of violent crimes are soaring, especially in the larger urban areas.

Then.....

there are those that fear the Zombie Apocalypse. When the Zombies attack, will you be ready?

Like the price of gasoline, the price of ammo continues to rise. Before that Obamination starts stripping the law abiding citizens of their 2nd Amendment rights, it's time to stock up.
Who knows, maybe the Obaminator is conspiring with the Zombies to make us all brainless drones that follow his socialist dictatorship without question.

Time to Take a Stance

Things being what they are; personal finances, budget cuts, the high cost of everything, people are forced to work secondary jobs or work over time as much as they can. Over time is not a steady paycheck and cannot always be counted on to supplement the income. Don't get me wrong, I take it whenever my schedule allows it as it pays more than my part time job. I took a part time job because it's a steady paycheck.
While it doesn't pay a great deal of money and doesn't provide benefits, it has some bonuses and perks.
Plus, I get to play with my favorite toys all day. Yep, I get to handle GUNS!

I handle and show guns to potential buyers. I rent guns to people who want to learn to shoot. I get to shoot guns and make purchases at an employee discounted rate. I teach people about gun safety and even teach some to clean and operate their new purchase.

I meet a lot of interesting people every day. I consider myself a people person. Although, the average thug on the street doesn't like to show his face in this gun shop. I suppose because everyone working there is wearing a gun and it's full of what they think are "rednecks." Not only that, the law requires instant criminal history checks and well, most that try to purchase a gun get denied. (Imagine that) Then they try their bullshit story telling and it doesn't work. According to everyone that works there, and my own personal observations, when seen, the droopy drawers crowd tends to play it cool. Although, if they dressed like normal people with their pants up, they would not attract as much attention to themselves.

Don't get me wrong, this gun shop caters to everyone, including women, and boasts the largest indoor range within a 100 mile radius. It's just that with so many law enforcement officers in there or even working in there, it more than likely deters their presence.

The 2nd amendment is a powerful Constitutional right that all law abiding citizens should be able to exercise. Some of our more liberal, blue state law enforcement officers may believe that allowing the ordinary citizen to possess or even carry a concealed firearm is an accident looking for a place to happen. Some fear that there will be a wave of mass shootings of innocent people. Well, there is right now!

I like living in a red state. We have a rock solid Castle Doctrine law that protects the victim/homeowner. Robberies, Carjacking, Burglary, Kidnapping, Sex Assaults, are all violent crimes in this state and licensed CWP holders, can use deadly force in the prevention or commission of such crimes. CWP holders can also come to the aid of any relative, friend or bystander who would likewise have the right to use deadly force and do so on their behalf. It's called the "Alter Ego" rule. Keep in mind, you don't need a CWP to own or possess a firearm in this state, you need a CWP to carry a concealed firearm on or about your person.

So, my own personal interactions with law enforcement in this state is that most all believe in the concealed carry law. They take pleasure in the fact that innocent victims can legally take a stand against the average maggot on the street without fear of the criminal justice system screwing them because they simply acted in self defense or defense of others.  Cops also like clearing cases as "Justified."

Does it cause people with guns to act like it's the wild west? NO! On the contrary, it has the opposite effect. Look at cities such as Chicago and Washington, DC. Both take the honor of being in the top 10 of  America's most lawless cities with crime rates through the roof. Why? Because they actually tried to ban guns....even going so far as to ban them in a person's home. A person should be able to feel safe in their own home and should be allowed to defend their castle against intruders or attackers. How dare the government intrude in to my home.
On another note, terrorists and scumbags will allows manage to get their hands on guns or other weapons in some way. Meanwhile, the average citizen is left naked and defenseless against the armed criminal element. Who wins? It is impossible to get all the guns off the street.

Ah, but I digress.....

Working in the gun shop and being a CWP instructor, there has been a recent surge in gun sales and people attending the CWP training courses. What could cause that, you ask? Tax refund time? The current political climate? The current economic crisis with undertones of violence? Fear of losing our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms? The increase of gun violence? Who knows.

In recent weeks, a good majority of my attendees have been the over 50 crowd. Let's face it, the elderly are the biggest targets. Now, they want to fight back and I don't blame them one bit.

It's time to take a stance. Take the safety courses. Get your permit. Follow the gun safety rules. Don't be a victim.

The Magic of 911

I know, I've had a recent dry spell and just haven't had the inspiration to put pen to paper - or fingers to keyboard, as it were.

Lately, I have been in a reading mood more than I have been in a writing mood. Today I was perusing my favorite cop blogs and came across an entry from "Officer Smith; Thoughts from behind the Badge."

"Officer Smith" explained in great detail the reality of the 911 system.

In plain English, it's not some magic number you can call and expect an instantaneous response. The police have no duty to protect you 24/7 and it is unreasonable to expect that the police will be there immediately after you call 911, most especially when you call from a cell phone. Cell phone signals bounce off towers and the call doesn't always route you to the appropriate jurisdiction. Entering map coordinates is a time consuming endeavor when it would have been much quicker to tell the call taker the address of  your emergency, along with several landmarks, mile markers, or the name of the subdivision. GPS coordinates do NOT pinpoint your EXACT location. It only helps first responders get close.

Additionally, screaming at the call takers slows the process down. They need information and they need it fast. Once the call taker gets the type of emergency, location, and a couple of other basic questions, another dispatcher is reading that info and starting the necessary response.
If you think that it takes only minutes for a response time, you are living in a fantasy world, my friends.
There are many mitigating factors that effect the response time. Don't even ask, "how long will it be?" How is the dispatcher supposed to know that?

One final note; if you've read my blog with regularity, you know that I am a firm believer in our 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms. The criminal element preys on the weakest and easiest targets. Don't make yourself an easy target. Learn your state's gun laws and the laws of self defense. Arm yourself with a gun, pepper spray, taser, even a baseball bat and then learn how to use it.

TSA: Those Stupid Assholes

Here we have a 17 year old pregnant teenager. Nothing so shocking in today's society.
This pregnant teenager is traveling from Jacksonville, FL to Norfolk, VA.  Again, so what?

This dingbat travels with her precious redneck purse that has a replica of a gun on it. She travels from Jacksonville to Norfolk carrying this purse on the plane and does so without incident. It's the return trip that causes the uproar. Hey, whaddya know?  Looks like somebody in Norfolk was doing their job.

Keep in mind, I have absolutely no love for the TSA and their intrusive, tactless, and possibly even hazardous means of screening for potential threats. I am not fully convinced that the full body image scanner is as harmless as they say, since our government has this really bad habit of sweeping things under the rug and telling us naive citizens that they know what's best for us. Often times, we are a stupid sheeple.

No, what I have issues with is the fact that this little incident was carried by the international news media and every article drew a picture of the TSA once again over stepping their boundaries.  In this case, the TSA people in Jacksonville made a huge, freakin' mistake. That thing never should have made it on the plane.  The law is very specific in that replicas of weapons, including guns, are not allowed on the plane. You can't go in to a courthouse or any other government building that might utilize a metal detector, with that purse. It looks too much like the real thing. Those Stupid Assholes spend too damn much time worrying about the 3 oz. rule and not enough time looking for serious threats. Granted, this was fake, but I've seen some working handguns on various accessories from belts to purses.

This is a 17 year old girl who thinks she's so mature. Honey, if you had an ounce of common sense, you would have known that you would indeed attract some attention with that purse. You've certainly attracted the attention of the feds and you won't hear the last of it. "Replicas" have been on the banned list since 2002. Do your homework. Oh, wait, she's 17 and most likely not an honor student.

While I am the first to admit that the TSA has had more than its share of moronic circumstances and incidents,  this one seems kind of simple; The TSA should have caught it in Jacksonville and she should have reconsidered her fashion accessories.

Sheriff Says Women Should Carry Guns

Spartanburg, SC

Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright says all women should take gun safety / concealed weapons classes and get their concealed weapon permit. (If I lived in Spartanburg County, this Sheriff would certainly have my vote.)

It would seem that the Sheriff is very frustrated with the criminal justice system in general and how it manages to put repeat offenders back on the street only for them to continue to commit violent crimes.

One particular scumbag by the name of Walter Maurice Lance, was charged with kidnapping, criminal sexual conduct, and grand larceny in the attack of a woman in Milliken Park. This is not the first time this pervert has committed such violent crimes.  This article shows some of his criminal history.

Sheriff Chuck Wright, Spartanburg, Co., SC

The Sheriff tells women to get their concealed weapons permit and to tote a .45 cal.  While I do not agree with that weapon choice, I'm all for women to use something a little more powerful than a can of mace or pepper spray. You see, in South Carolina, a person can use deadly force in the commission of a dangerous felony and in self defense. The person who is lawfully defending themselves would not face criminal or civil action. The Sheriff is essentially telling women to take up arms and defend themselves.  Hoo-rah!
Kudos to you Sheriff for speaking out. Rant or no rant, you have taken a decidedly hard stance for our 2nd amendment rights and we salute you.

I must take issue with some points of this article as it does not accurately explain the CWP requirements.  For further info, follow this link.

As a firm believer that law abiding citizens should have the right to own or possess a gun, and as an instructor, I must say that empowering women to take such actions is one step closer to lowering the crime rate.

No tricks, Lady

Aiken, SC

Apparently thug training starts at about age 10.

Two 10 year olds were trick or treating in their neighborhood and a neighbor jokingly stated that she would steal their candy.  The rookie thug reportedly said, "no you won't" and pointed a semi auto handgun at her.

She recognizes the 2 boys and calls police. Police catch up to the little armed treaters and discover that the handgun was not loaded but he was in possession of a fully loaded magazine. The other 10 year old was also in possession of a loaded handgun. Both guns were removed from the hands of these thug wanna-be's and the brats were turned over to their parents.

Apparently the guns were taken from their grandfather without his knowledge.

This story was carried by the AP, published in newspapers from AZ to MA and the United Kingdom.

It's stupidity like this that makes responsible gun owners look bad. Liberals everywhere are rubbing their little hands together, exclaiming, "see, I told you so."

The Economy and Firearms

When the 2008 election forced the Obaminator upon us unsuspecting, freedom loving Americans, he unwittingly became the greatest firearms salesmen in American history.  In the 3 months following the election, most notably the day after, the sales of handguns and other firearms jumped over 45%.

Prices for ammunition and other accessories catapulted through the roof. For the majority of '09 and well in to '10, supply just couldn't keep up with the demand. Law enforcement agencies, with already slimmed down budgets, were forced to cut back on firearms qualifications because ammunition was not only difficult to get, but the prices far exceeded their budget restraints.  Prices for ammo have finally leveled off, but it's still costly and nowhere near the price they were 3 years ago.

So here we are, in a full blown recession and people are still buying guns.  In fact, if you ask your local gun dealer, (the legal ones) they'll tell you that business has been thriving. The stock market has crashed again, the unemployment rate doesn't seem like it will ever go down, illegal aliens are committing dangerous felonies and sucking the life out of our government benefits, and civil disorder is an all too chilling reality.

The mob violence in Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Chicago, and even in the UK, are proof positive that our society's ills have turned out a generation of deplorable, ungrateful thugs who have no regard for the lives and property of others. Depending on which media outlet you get your information from, these incidents were not racially motivated nor were they hate crimes.  Nooooo.....it's our society's downtrodden who deserve so much but have had such a difficult time....blah, blah, blah....bullshit! If they wanted to change their pathetic lives, they could.  No one is holding them down.  It was ALL racially motivated in the U.S.  Blacks specifically targeted whites, violently and without remorse. I can't speak to the UK's incident, but I can say that they have the same kind of diseased minds in the UK ghettos that we have here in the US.

With all this anarchy and chaos running rampant in these large, urban cities, people are steadily purchasing guns.  People will make room in their family budgets, even if they have to put it on layaway and use time payments. The majority of gun buyers will tell you it's for self defense and some admit openly that they are preparing for the inevitable apocalypse. I used to think that those doomsday-sayers who believed in such ideals were just a little off their rockers.  Now, not so much. They may have a point.

Once the law abiding public starts shooting back, only then will the armed thugs think twice.  Well, they should, but worst case scenario is another piece of shit is off the streets and the taxpayer's burden has been lowered by one.  While gun sales increase, crime rates in those states decrease. It's an undisputed fact supported by FBI documentation.  It is estimated that 15 million guns will be purchased by the end of 2011.

Well, I didn't vote for the moron who promised all this hope and change shit. There is almost no hope now and the changes have been disastrous.

Citizens and the Concealed Weapon

Applications for concealed carry permits have tripled in the last year.

I have recently read some comments on other blogs concerning gun rights and ownership.  A number of over-educated liberal morons who know absolutely nothing about handguns, and have obviously led sheltered lives, have been spouting insane theories.  Some have gone so far as to say handguns should be banned, period.
Mayor Daley of Chicago blamed the Ft. Hood shootings on the easy accessibility of  handguns.  No offense, Mr. Mayor, but you have no idea what you're fucking talking about!
In the great state of Texas, them's considered fightin' words.  Texans are not easily pushed around and remember, they're a red state.  "Don't mess with Texas!"

Facts being what they are;

In 1975 Washington, DC, the "murder capital" of the US, enacted legislation called the "Firearms Regulation Control Act."  This act prohibited people from keeping firearms that were operable, in their home for the purpose of self defense. Yes, you could have a gun in your home, but it had to be registered with the police and had to be disassembled.  Somebody please tell me why I would want a non-functioning gun in the first place!  History proves that Washington DC began it's rapid rise in crime and urban blight through the 80's and 90's.

Now, the 2nd amendment to the constitution reads in part..."a well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed upon."
The case of Warren v. District of Columbia ruled that it should not criminalize self defense when it is not legally obligated to defend the people.  These gun laws forced law abiding citizens to choose between protecting their lives or breaking the law.
The police cannot guarantee your safety nor are they obligated to protect you.  Who will protect you?
I sure as hell can't do it with a non functioning gun and I can't call a time out so I can put it together.  Oh wait, I forgot, it's against the freakin' law for me to kill somebody who is trying to kill me.  Shit!  That sucks doesn't it?
Facts prove that the crime rate goes DOWN when law abiding citizens can arm themselves.

In 2008, the US Supreme Court ruled the District of Columbia's Firearms Regulation Act as unconstitutional, summarizing that people have the right to have a working weapon in their home for the purpose of self protection.
That was a huge victory for gun owners and it proves, that even with socialism knocking on the door, the NRA still wields a little power in Washington.

There are a number of states besides Texas, that have established concealed carry laws and applications for permits have tripled in the last year.  In those states, it is legal to have a weapon in your home, car, or place of business and you do not need a permit.
As for the self defense rule, google "Castle Doctrine" and it will explain that you have no duty to retreat in your home, car or place of business.
It means if you break in to my house, I can shoot and kill you.  And get this - I cannot be charged criminally and the sorry son of a bitch's family can't sue me.  I have no duty to retreat in my own home.  It's my freakin' castle, asshole!

To carry a handgun concealed, on or about your person, requires a permit.  There are certain standards and training requirements one must meet in order to apply for a Concealed Carry permit.
Training requirements are stringent and enforced.  Certified instructors are held accountable for every applicant they train.  My home state is a 'shall issue' state which means if an applicant meets all the requirements and passes all the exams, the state will issue a permit within 90 days.
Statistics prove that carjackings and home invasions typically decrease.  CWP holders have come to the aid of both citizens and law enforcement.  Mishaps, carelessness and unlawful use of deadly force incidents were less than 3% in 2008.
That percentage simply proves you can't un-train an idiot.

States with CWP laws on the books and who share reciprocity are; Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Louisiana,Virginia, W. Virginia, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Missouri, Michigan, Texas, Florida, and Wyoming.  Think what you will, but most law enforcement officers will agree that these laws actually work.

Our fearless leader put guns and ammo on his to-do list of potential tax hits.  Not one day after he won the election, gun and ammo sales skyrocketed.  One year later, ammo is still hard to come by and it's at incredibly high prices.

If the Obama administration continues on its present path, we all could be surrendering our constitutional right to defend ourselves.  What Constitutional right will be next?

"Law is Order, and good law is good order."  -Aristotle-
