I, like many others out there, are not real big fans of politicians. Most are just con artists, deal makers, and smooth talkers. It takes money, power and influence to get appointed and then elected to some of the most influential offices in the country.
A BRIEF BIOGRAPHY:
Ms. Feinstein has managed to work her way up the proverbial ladder of political success from such a humble beginning of fighting for equal housing rights and then being appointed to serve as a member of the California Women's Parole Board.
Feinstein went on to become a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and lost 2 elections for Mayor. Oddly enough, her succession to Mayor occurred only due to the assassinations of Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk. Feinstein herself heard the gunshots in city hall and went to investigate, finding Harvey Milk's lifeless body. He had been assassinated by a rival politician. Feinstein herself was a target of a failed assassination attempt.
Was this the beginning of her anti gun stance?
After the threats to her and her family, she obtained a concealed weapon permit and carried a revolver in her purse.
Feinstein has a certain talent for pissing people off.
In the highly populated gay community of San Francisco, she refused to march in the Gay Pride parade and vetoed the domestic partner legislation.
Well, after all, it was the 80's.
During the period when serial killer Richard Ramirez was terrorizing her city, she gave away certain details to the press, thereby hindering the investigation and pissing off the police.
In the 90's, she made this statement,
In the above quote, Feinstein states she "was trained in firearms." Yet, the picture below tells a different story.
Remember this photo op?
For those of you knowledgeable in firearms safety...it really looks like the 4 cardinal rules of firearms safety have all been ignored or long ago forgotten.
In the late 90's, Feinstein allegedly stopped carrying a handgun, had her own pistol melted down, along with many other guns in a citywide buy-back program, and then gave up her concealed carry permit.
Feinstein introduced the Federal Assault Weapons Ban which went in to effect in 1994 and expired in 2004.
Her latest attempt to ban what she defines as "assault weapons" has no expiration date. This particular piece of horse crap was vehemently opposed by the NRA.
Here we are again....
Feinstein fancies herself a champion of women's rights. Yet, her position is that women everywhere will be no less safer than if they carried or owned firearms.
An irrational and idiotic remark if ever there was one.
After insulting women everywhere......
She took on military veterans....
She claims that PTSD is a relatively new phenomenon and wants to make sure that incapacitated veterans don't get their hands on semi automatic weapons. Before naming it PTSD in the 80's, they called it 'shell shock' or 'battle fatigue.'
And the most idiotic statement ever....
The other very important part of this bill is to ban large capacity ammunition feeding devices, those that hold more than 10 rounds. We have federal regulations and state laws that prohibit hunting ducks with more than three rounds. And yet it’s legal to hunt humans with 15-round, 30-round, even 150-round magazines. Limiting magazine capacity is critical because it is when a criminal, a drug dealer, a deranged individual has to pause to change magazines and reload that the police or brave bystanders have the opportunity to take that individual down.”
How many things are wrong with that idiotic diatribe? Sen. Feinstein, let me point out, that if you're trying to take away my ability to own and carry a firearm, then how will I be a brave bystander that will have the opportunity to take down an armed assailant? You think that while everyone is scared shitless and looking for cover, that they're going to count the amount of rounds in the criminal's magazine?
Oh hell, the woman is a professional idiot. You can't reason with an idiot.

One idea that comes to mind after reading Feinstein's diatribe is to take the guns away from the drug dealers, the felons who are out of jail and the profoundly mentally ill.
I don't know if that's been tried yet, but it seems to me that if we disarm the criminals first, then maybe that will be good enough.
Good enough for government work, anyway.
You're quite right in that Fienstein is a professional, but please do not underestimate her. If Fienstein gave up her battle against the law abiding gun owners, who would vote for her? What else does she have going for her?
So she keeps on with the platform that will get her reelected.
