The P.O.P. Factor

"Just the facts, ma'am." More often than not, politically correct bullshit won't be found here. Pardon me while I exercise my 1st amendment right! I welcome all to my little world of bitches, moans, gripes and complaints, and sometimes, the downright freakin' odd. Take a seat and join me. I love a good story.

Arizona Immigration Law

There is no doubt that persons entering our country illegally is a divisive issue, at best.  The state of
Arizona just signed in to legislation a law that says police can detain people, "where practicable" and ask them for their papers.  ("Your papers please" sounds more like the dialog of a 50's era movie.) This puts law enforcement in an even more unfavorable light.  Are we not bordering on nazism and socialism when we randomly stop and ask people for their papers just by virtue of the color of their skin?  Where does one draw the line on this kind of reform?  It is inviting profiling, law suits, more political bickering and government rhetoric, not to mention the fact that it's not really solving the problem.  It is just adding to it.
It is an indisputable fact that something needs to be done and that we need to stop catering to liberals who cannot see the big picture.  Every day hundreds, maybe thousands, come across our borders illegally in the hopes of finding a better place.  Many women arrive pregnant or have 'anchor babies' here so that they won't be deported, since their children are automatically given citizenship by birthright.
Then they live off our tax dollars in welfare, medicaid, food stamps, etc. and most don't pay taxes.
It is a sorry state of affairs when English has become the second language and we are becoming foreigners in our own land.

What's even worse, there are not enough jobs now, more people are homeless than ever before and our economic situation is in a crisis of drastic proportions.  Arizona has the right idea and state's rights allows them to enact such legislation, but this law is too abstract in it's wording and it's literally unenforceable.  The Obama administration needs to get off it's ass and address this illegal immigration problem in the US.  It's not going to go away.

We need to stop pandering to these people and show them that if non-residents want to come to the land of opportunity, then they should do so like our forefathers did -- LEGALLY!

Cleanville - Tell me what do cops shooting someone's pet while executing a search warrant have to do with immigration?
