The P.O.P. Factor

"Just the facts, ma'am." More often than not, politically correct bullshit won't be found here. Pardon me while I exercise my 1st amendment right! I welcome all to my little world of bitches, moans, gripes and complaints, and sometimes, the downright freakin' odd. Take a seat and join me. I love a good story.

Mayor Bloomberg is an Asshole

New York City-

With the 10 year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks quickly upon us, Mayor Bloomberg's office made a bitter announcement yesterday. The Mayor's office announced that due to limited space, all first responders who ran to the scene of one of America's most horrifying events, are not invited to the memorial ceremony.

Bloomberg spokesperson Andrew Brent stated that the memorial ceremony is for the victim's families only, while also accommodating numerous dignitaries that includes 2 U.S. Presidents and former Mayor Guiliani. However, Brent said that they are working hard to schedule other memorial services for other groups at different places and times.
Different places?  Different times?  This is the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers in NYC. Why the hell would they want to go to a different place on a different date?  Are you freakin' insane?
These people are heroes to the Nth degree.  How dare you deny them their honorable place.

Most all of the emergency services personnel are understandably outraged or heartbroken that their own city has forsaken them when they themselves gave everything they had at one of our nation's most crucial times.

Many of the volunteers who suffer to this day from medical issues arising from long term exposure to Ground Zero, feel that Bloomberg is deflecting the subject and dismissing their concerns.

I say police, firefighters and EMS unions and personnel everywhere make their voices heard straight to Bloomberg's office.  They DESERVE their rightful place at this ceremony as they are the HEROES, they are the DIGNITARIES who deserve to be treated with a hell of a lot more respect than what Bloomberg is giving them. Yes, the victim's families belong there too, but to deny all the emergency workers their noble place is the epitome of being a total ASSHOLE!

That day was the saddest day in our country's history and Bloomberg has managed to make it even sadder.
Hey, to the thousands of you who gave all you had, we all thank you and I personally think you should just show up anyway! Wouldn't that just piss off the mayor?!
